History of Season Comfort:
Season Comfort Corporation has proudly served the Chicagoland area since 1981. Our story began with our founder, Vito Pallela, whose determination, experience, and commitment to quality laid the foundation for the company we are today. Vito was born on March 19, 1933, in Ceglie del Campo, a small town near Bari, Italy. He began his education in Ceglie before continuing his studies in Bari, where he completed four years at the Istituto Orazio Flacco.
In 1949, at just 16 years old, Vito traveled to the United States with his mother. Together, they joined his father who had previously moved to Chicago to work and create a better life for his family. Vito graduated from Wells High School later that year.
Vito began his professional career in 1952. After gaining 10 years of experience in the workforce, he returned to trade school and graduated from the Utility Engineering Institute, where he studied heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. He also joined Pipefitters Local Union 597, further developing the technical skills and hands-on experience that would shape his career.
In 1956, Vito returned to Bari to marry his childhood friend and longtime sweetheart, Rosa. The couple returned to Chicago, where they raised their three children and eventually made their home in the Chicago suburbs.
Vito later spent 22 years working for an HVAC company. He began as a field supervisor and, after 16 years, was promoted to service manager because of his extensive knowledge, experience, and leadership. After decades of working in the industry, Vito knew he had the experience and determination needed to build a successful company of his own.
In 1981, Vito founded Season Comfort Corporation. He opened the company’s first shop in Franklin Park, where it operated for eight years before moving to Westmont. Through hard work and dedication, Vito built Season Comfort into a trusted HVAC company. He was also a respected leader and mentor who cared deeply about the service technicians who worked alongside him.
Vito continued to lead Season Comfort until his passing in December 2020. His daughter, Donna Falco, then took over the family business and proudly continues the legacy her father began more than four decades ago.
Today, Season Comfort provides residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC services throughout the Chicagoland area. Although the company has grown and evolved over the years, our commitment remains the same: providing dependable service, quality workmanship, and honest care to every customer.
